Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (SHFBM) strives through education, advocacy, and partnerships to eliminate hunger by the solicitation and distribution of food.

We provide a regional distribution warehouse and branches that supply food and grocery items to charitable agencies that assist people in need. We also provide training, consultation, technical assistance, and hunger education to our partner agencies. Learn More »

ENDING Child Hunger

Children at risk of hunger in the Metrolina region is not just a myth, it’s a reality. 13.7% of Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina’s service area population lives in poverty including almost 160,000 children and seniors.

Financial Donations

One of the best ways to help end hunger in the Metrolina area is through a financial gift. Because the Food Bank supplies food and essential grocery items to over 600 agencies in 19 counties, a donation to the Food Bank helps all of these organizations. Donate and Make a Difference! »

Volunteers Are Needed Today!
Come solo, with your church group, your co-workers, your school or your family. Help out when it's convenient for you, daytime, nights, or weekends. One hour of your time provides the Food Bank with $19.51 of labor savings. Training and materials are provided for all volunteer tasks.
